5 Simple Ways to Grow Closer to God in Your Daily Routine

Getting Closer To God One Day At A Time

Life can get busy, but deepening your faith doesn’t require hours of extra time. Here are five practical ways to draw closer to God in your everyday life:

1. Start with Prayer (Even if It’s Short)

Before checking your phone, take a 30-second pause for prayer. Thank God for the new day, and surrender your worries to Him. Small moments of connection can add up.

2. Scripture on the Go

Struggling to find time for a long Bible study? Try listening to an audio verse while commuting, or write one verse on a sticky note as a daily reminder.

3. Turn Mundane Tasks into Worship

Fold laundry, wash dishes, or take a walk with gratitude. Offer simple prayers or sing worship songs—God meets us in the everyday.

4. Practice Intentional Kindness

Hold the door for someone, send an encouraging text, or smile at a stranger. Small acts of love reflect Jesus and keep your heart aligned with Him.

5. End the Day with Reflection

Before bed, ask yourself: “Where did I see God today?” Even in the midst of challenges, His presence is always at work.

Faith isn’t just for Sundays; it’s integrated into our daily lives. Which of these will you try this week?

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”(James 4:8)
