Accessibility at JOY Radio

JOY Radio (CJYE) welcomes your feedback on any accessibility barriers that you may have encountered in dealing with JOY. Or you may provide feedback to help us create our new Accessibility Plan in 2023. Our feedback form is located below.

The Accessible Canada Act (ACA) defines a barrier as:

“…anything physical, architectural, technological or attitudinal, anything that is based on information or communications or anything that is the result of a policy or a practice—that hinders the full and equal participation in society of persons with an impairment, including a physical, mental, intellectual, cognitive, learning, communication or sensory impairment or a functional limitation.”

The person at JOY Radio responsible for receiving feedback is our Accessibility Director.

Feedback can be general or specific, but providing more details such as the date, the name of the webpage, application or activity involved, may make it easier for us to understand your concerns.

For all feedback related to accessibility, we will endeavor to respond to you within 3 business days with the exception of feedback received anonymously.

Accessibility Feedback

The purpose of the accessibility feedback form is to collect information from persons with disabilities who may be experiencing difficulties related to one of the following areas:

  1. Content accessibility
  2. Digital accessibility (e.g. I can’t use my assistive technology on the website or app)
  3. Facilities
