Air Canada Offering Bus Service to Pearson from Hamilton and Waterloo

Air Canada has unveiled a new partnership to link airports in Hamilton and Waterloo Region with the airline’s global hub at Toronto Pearson Airport.

Starting in May 2024, customers can book a combined itinerary that includes what the airline calls luxury motorcoach service provided by The Landline Company and Air Canada flights. The service will operate as a pilot project from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport and the Region of Waterloo International Airport, with potential expansion to other Canadian regions in the future.

Air Canada’s Alexandre Lefevre highlighted the airline’s commitment to enhancing regional services and sustainability. Through this partnership, he said customers can enjoy the convenience of a single itinerary, through-checked baggage, disruption protection, and Aeroplan earning opportunities.

Landline will operate six non-stop round trips daily between Hamilton and Region of Waterloo airports to Toronto’s Pearson. Passengers will check in for their flights as usual, board Air Canada-branded motorcoaches at designated departure points, and have their baggage automatically transferred to their connecting flights upon arrival at Toronto Pearson.

In case of delays, customers on Landline will receive the same protections as those on air-only itineraries.

Officials from Hamilton International Airport and the Region of Waterloo expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting the increased accessibility to diverse destinations and the consistent customer experience it offers.

Cole Horncastle, Executive Managing Director of John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport says being able to connect to Air Canada’s global network via a luxury motorcoach service opens up access to dozens of new destinations.
