A Story Of Resilience, Courage & Unconditional Love
The Unbreakable Boy – Move Release and Interviews
This past weekend was the theatrical release of The Unbreakable Boy, a true story based on the book “The Unbreakable Boy: A Father’s Fear, a Son’s Courage, and a Story of Unconditional Love, written by Scott Michael LeRette and Susy Flory.
The Unbreakable Boy tells the inspiring story of Austin, a young boy with osteogenesis imperfecta or brittle bone disease. Despite his physical fragility, Austin’s unyielding spirit and joy shine through adversity.
The film alternates between Austin’s and his father Scott’s points of view. As Austin endures fractures and surgeries, his resilience uplifts those around him. Themes of faith, family, and perspective culminate in a powerful moment where Austin’s strength helps his family navigate a crisis, demonstrating that true strength comes from within. The film received rave reviews during its opening weekend. Many celebrate its depiction of the triumph of the human spirit and the reminder that it is possible to find light, love, and unshakable hope even in the face of life’s greatest challenges.
Hollie Taylor, host of Good Company, had an opportunity to interview some of the film’s cast members, gaining insights into their personal connections to the film and some behind-the-scenes experiences.
