With hearts full of gratitude, we share the news that Dr. Monica Hernandez, beloved host of The Revealing Word, passed away this June after a brief illness. Her voice has been a faithful companion to our listeners for many years, and today we pause to celebrate a life given fully to God and to others.
For over 25 years, Dr. Monica Hernandez devoted herself to teaching the Bible with insight, warmth, and heart. As founder of New Vision Ministry and host of The Revealing Word, she brought comfort, clarity, and encouragement to countless people learning to live out their faith each day. Her messages blended practical guidance with deep spiritual truth, helping listeners grow closer to Christ and face life’s challenges with courage.
Dr. Hernandez carried a remarkable depth of learning into every broadcast. She held a Doctorate in Theology from Canada Christian College and served as an ordained minister. She also earned a D-C.P.C. (Diplomate-Certified Psychotherapist and Counsellor) certificate in Christian Counselling and a Ph.D. in International Missions and Counselling. In recognition of her devotion to others, she received an Honorary Doctorate in Pastoral Counselling from the Evangelical Order of Certified Pastoral Counsellors of America. She poured each of these gifts into a lifetime of service, teaching, and gentle guidance for all who came to her.
Yet her greatest legacy was never found in titles. It lived in the lives she touched, the faith she strengthened, and the quiet moments when a listener felt seen, understood, and encouraged to keep going.
