NHL All-Stars in Toronto

The NHL’s All Star Weekend is underway in Toronto.

Twelve players – including Toronto’s William Nylander and Auston Matthews – will take part in the skills competition tonight.

The Skills event will have a new look this year with players competing for a first prize of $1 million.

Each of the 12 All-Stars will take part in four of the first six events: the Fastest Skater,  Hardest Shot, Stick Handling, One Timers, Passing, and Accuracy Shooting.

That will be followed by one-on-one events and an obstacle course.

It’s part of a four-day celebration at Scotiabank Arena, with events also being held at the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and Nathan Phillips Square.
