Joni Lamb, co-founder and president of Daystar Television Network, who inspired millions through her faith and ministry, passed away on Thursday, May 7, at the age of 65, following a private battle with serious health challenges that worsened after a recent back injury.
In a statement shared on social media, Daystar Television Network, a global Christian television ministry, wrote, “With heavy hearts, we share the news that Joni Lamb graduated to Heaven this morning. We know that she is in the presence of Jesus, reunited with Marcus, and receiving her reward for a beautiful life lived in surrender to the Lord.”
Lamb co-founded Daystar with her late husband, Marcus Lamb, in 1993. Under their leadership, the network grew into one of the world’s largest Christian television ministries, dedicated to spreading the Gospel through Christian programming and reaching audiences around the globe through television and digital platforms.
At Joy Radio, we recently added Joni Table Talk to our lineup, and we are grateful for the encouragement and faith-filled conversations Joni brought to listeners through the program. Daystar described Lamb as an inspiration to millions, remembering her fearless faith, bold leadership, and deep compassion for others. “She has modeled what it means to be fearless, to be bold, and to stand for righteousness even when it’s unpopular,” the ministry shared. “Her love and compassion for people were unparalleled. She will be so greatly missed.”
The network also expressed hope in the midst of grief, adding, “We are thankful that we do not grieve as those who have no hope.”
Uplifting devotionals, joyful stories, and faith-filled content for everyday life.
