Toronto Councillor Brad Bradford Running for Mayor

Toronto City Councillor Brad Bradford is officially running in the city’s mayoral race.
Bradford confirmed the news this morning after previously announcing he was considering the move.
The Beaches-East York councillor is currently the city’s housing chair, and says it’s time for the city to move forward on residents’ priorities.
Toronto council sat this morning for the first time since John Tory resigned.
They were expected to approve a timeline already set out by the city clerk, sending voters to the polls on June 26th with advanced voting dates June 8th to June 13th.
Nominations for the mayoral race will open Monday.
Previouosly, councillor Josh Matlow announced he’d be running, along with former city councillor Ana Bailao, former police chief Mark Saunders, and others.
