The Ontario government has announced the Ontario Science Centre is heading on over to a new and improved Ontario Place.

Not everyone is behind the move, including a number of Toronto mayoral candidates.

The redevelopment of Ontario Place has been in the works for years – which will include a massive spa, waterpark, and an outdoor concert venue.

The Science Centre will be moving to its new location on the Toronto Waterfront in 2025.

Ontario Place first opened in 1971. It has been closed since 2012.
