Cambridge Facility to Start Making Moderna mRNA Vaccines

Moderna is teaming with a Southwestern Ontario pharmaceutical company to manufacture mRNA vaccines.

The company says it will be using Novocol Pharma’s Cambridge facility for the final steps of preparing and packaging respiratory mRNA vaccines for distribution throughout Canada.

At a news conference this morning Premier Doug Ford said the investment was a huge vote of confidence in Ontario’s growing life sciences sector.

He said it will help to ensure that Ontarians will “no longer have to rely on other jurisdictions to keep us safe.”
