Strike over for 80% of Federal Public Employees

A strike by thousands of federal public employees is now over – but bargaining continues for Canada Revenue Agency employees, on this tax deadline day.

Negotiators gave word overnight that a deal had been reached for 120-thousand members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada – and they are returning to work today.

The strike began on April 19th.

Negotiations continue for some 35-thousand workers with CRA.

Midnight tonight is the deadline for Canadians to file their 2022 taxes without facing a penalty, if they owe.
