Influential televangelist Pat Robertson has passed away.

Robertson died at his home in Virginia at the age of 93.

The Christian Broadcasting Network, which Robertson founded in 1960, issued the following statement on Thursday:

‘’With great sadness, we announce that Dr. M.G. “Pat” Robertson has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior today, June 8, 2023. Thank you for your prayers for the Robertson family and the ministry of CBN at this time.’’

While Robertson hosted the “The 700 Club” for decades, he is also known for a run for president in 1988, finishing second in the Iowa caucuses, followed by the founding of the Christian Coalition.

Robertson’s beloved wife, Dede, passed in 2022. The couple had been married nearly 70 years.
