Scarborough-Guildwood MPP Running for Toronto Mayor

Another high-profile candidate has entered the Toronto mayoral race.

Liberal MPP Mitzie Hunter currently represents the Scarborough-Guildwood riding.

First elected to the provincial legislature in 2013, Hunter would have to give up her seat in order to run.

Yesterday, city councillor Josh Matlow, and former Police Chief Mark Saunders both entered the race, which already included former deputy mayor Ana Bailão, and former city councillor Giorgio Mammolita.

Nominations officially open on April 3rd with a byelection to replace John Tory happening in June.
