Unfiror Reaches Tentative Deal with Ford

More than 56-hundred Ford autoworkers, mostly in Ontario, will soon be voting on a new tentative contract.

A strike was averted Tuesday night as Unifor and Ford agreed to keep talking ahead of Monday’s midnight strike deadline.

It’s expected the deal sets the tone for what workers at General Motors and Stellantis plants should be expecting.

It comes while autoworkers in the United States are set to ramp up current strike action if they don’t see any developments with their negotiations by Friday.
